We have been advised of the death of Patricia Alice Smith (aged 93 years), wife of the late Stephen Smith. It is believed she may have lived in North Cheriton (Moorses Cottage?) in the past as the address has been discovered in paperwork found following her death.

A celebration of Pat’s life will be held at Yeovil Crematorium on Thursday 4 December at 11.20am. Donations if desired to The Cinnamon Trust and Weldmar Hospice Care.

Act of Remembrance, followed by a service in the church

A Prayer of Remembrance and Hope

Lord of Peace, on this day we remember with gratitude

those who gave their lives, with compassion those who still carry the scars,

and with longing for a world where war is no more.

Teach us to walk the way of peace in our homes, our communities and our nations.

Turn our remembrance into resolve, our silence into service and our sorrow into hope.

Prince of Peace, heal our hearts, renew our world, and lead us to the day when your peace will reign forever.

Craft Group

Another month, another craft group! This month’s meeting will be on Wednesday 5th November at 2pm in the village hall.

As we edge ever closer to Christmas, this month we’ll start to think about Christmas inspired crafts.

Come along to have a go at something new or bring along your own project. £2 per person please.
