Just a quick note to let you know that the Village Hall Committee are organizing a lunchtime event for a change, instead of our usual suppers.
Keep your diary free for Sunday 29th March and come along to enjoy a Sunday Lunch with your fellow villagers.
This is a perfect opportunity for those of you who are unable to come to our evening events to join in – children are especially welcome!
More details will follow nearer the time.
Saturday 28th February at 12.15
There will be a Lent lunch in the North Cheriton Village Hall this Saturday at 12.15. It will be a simple but delicious lunch of soup and cheese. There is no charge, but there will be an opportunity to make donations to help the work of The Lord’s Larder.
The Lord’s Larder runs a food bank, from which it sends food to families, and to people living on their own, who are in severe financial difficulty. It is based in Yeovil and covers an area stretching from Langport in the West to Wincanton in the East. In recent years it has been sending food to hundreds of people who were anxious about where the next meal was to come from and have been deeply grateful for the food they were sent.
Come to the lunch and help support a really good cause.
I am hosting a “Crafternoon” to raise funds for Comic Relief on Thursday 12th March.
If you can join us – great, we will be delighted to have you!
If you can’t make it, any donation would be fantastic – you can donate quickly and easily directly to Comic Relief using this link to my fundraising page – Sheila’s Red Nose Day Crafternoon.
