The Scottish Dancing Group meets in the Village Hall on Wednesday morning from 10.00 am until 12.00 with a mid morning break for coffee and chat. We are by no means expert dancers and welcome beginners . We have a lot of fun and laughter while getting exercise for the brain and the body.
Just a quick reminder that our monthly talk is tomorrow night, (Tuesday 8th) in North Cheriton Village Hall starting at 7.30pm. We are really excited to be welcoming Neil from Picket Lane Nursery, a family run business in Dorset who propagate every plant they grow. Neil will be talking to us about 12 months of colour in our gardens “In the nursery, we need to be able to extend the flowering period of our plants to make them look their best for as long as possible. This talk gives the gardener many tips and processes to enable them to get the very best out of their garden throughout the year, be it a window box or an acre.”
Last month a chap from Castle Gardens came to talk to us about autumn in our gardens. He was a fantastic speaker, had a great depth of knowledge and even gave us some goodies which were given away in our raffle. The only disappointing thing about the evening is that there were only 12 of us there. I realise that people have reasons for not being able to make the meetings, but could I please urge you to come tomorrow and bring a friend too if you have someone who might be interested. There is no pressure for anyone to join the club, but we would like as many people to come as possible. Our speakers often travel quite a distance to get to us and it would be great to show them as much support as we can.
